The village of Muri, with approximately 7500 inhabitants, is located in the canton Aargau, close to Zurich (one a half hour drive) and Luzern. The name of the canton originates from the beautiful river Aare. The canton is characterized by mediaeval centres, related museums and numerous castles. In addition, there are famous thermal baths scattered through the canton. For years, the canton has a stable and strong economy due to the flourishing agriculture. Due to the relatively flat, but mildly hilly landscape, there is an infinite amount of beautiful hiking routes in the area.
