Anaesthesiologist – Muri – Switzerland
The Freiamt region connect Mittelland with central Switzerland. The village of Muri, with approximately 7500 inhabitants, is located in the canton Aargau, close to Zurich (one a half hour drive) and Luzern. The name of the canton originates from the beautiful river Aare. The canton is characterized by mediaeval centres, related museums and numerous castles. In addition, there are famous thermal baths scattered through the canton. For years, the canton has a stable and strong economy due to the flourishing agriculture. Due to the relatively flat, but mildly hilly landscape, there is an infinite amount of beautiful hiking routes in the area.
The hospital offers care to an area of 100 000 inhabitants. There are 4 operating theatres and an intensive care unit. Annually, care is given to around 8000 inpatients and 40 000 outpatients. The department of anaesthesiology and perioperative medicine is responsible for modern operating theatres, one SGI certified six-bed intensive care unit, three obstetric rooms and a busy emergency department with a trauma room. The specialised rescue service is also affiliated to anaesthesia.
On behalf of the above-mentioned hospital, we are looking for a motivated anaesthesiologist as (subhead) of the department for a fulltime (0,8-1,0 fte) position. The hospital is looking for an anaesthesiologist with several years of experience as a senior consultant. The team prefers an empathic personality who is consensus-oriented and assertive. Ideally, you will have an interest in management and business administration.
You will be responsible for providing anaesthesiology services to the operating theatre, the emergency department and the delivery room. Based on your professional experience, you will also care for complex patients independently. In the perioperative context, you take part in the preoperative consultations and evaluate inpatients with an operative indication at the emergency department. You will supervise the care of operative patients at the interdisciplinary intensive care unit and ensure permanent readiness for the obstetric rooms. You will support the chief physician in organizing and managing the department and actively support its further development. Within the entire hospital, you will actively participate in various interprofessional projects and committees and, if you are interested and suitable, you will also take over tasks in operating room management.
You can expect a broad variety of activities within a modern and growing hospital with a wide range of services. The team is characterized by good cooperation with different specialties and a strong team spirit.
Attractive employment conditions are offered. Good command of the German and English language is required to register and practice in Switzerland. Although C1 command is preferred in your clinical role, a B2-level suffices for registration. MMedical can help you select the right language training centre and will help you with the federal and cantonal professional registration.
