Aarau is the capital of the Canton of Aargau. The city is located at the river de Aare and includes 20 000 inhabitants. Aarau is situated within the Swiss highlands and in the centre of three big cities: Zürich, Basel and Luzern. The historical city centre is known for its beautiful paintings at the gables of the old buildings. The cultural area contains abundance of old architecture, museums, parks and plentiful nature including scenic castles.
The group practice of the general practitioner’s team is located in a peaceful neighbourhood of Aarau, which is easily accessible by car or public transport. General practitioners, psychiatrists, psychologists and dieticians collaborate closely to guarantee high quality care for every patient. The group puts special emphasis on general internal medicine, primary and secondary prevention and psychosomatic care. The practice is characterized by a pleasant working environment, well respected by all colleagues.
On behalf of the above-mentioned group practice in Aarau, we are looking for an enthusiastic general practitioner for a full time (1,0 fte) position. The start date will ideally be august 2019, but a different date of commencement is negotiable. The practice prefers a general practitioner who started his/her career gaining experience in emergency medicine.
A motivated and devoted personality with resilience, responsibility and entrepreneurial skills is desired to strengthen the current team. A general practitioner with well developed social and professional skills will be most suitable. Good communication skills and motivation for good collaboration are preferred.

The employer offers attractive working conditions. The practice offers a training in the Swiss healthcare system and assistance in moving to Switzerland. A fixed salary is offered during the first year, while the following years will include extra income due to profit-sharing. Furthermore, access to the Swiss social security system, retirement pension and guaranteed professional pension will be included. Good command of the German and English language is required to register and practice in Switzerland. Although C1 command is preferred in your clinical role, a B2-level suffices for registration.
