General Practitioner – Auckland – New Zealand

Location:

The city of Auckland is located in the northern part of the North Island. It is one of the most densely populated areas in New Zealand with about 500,000 inhabitants. Many wine regions, beautiful beaches, pristine rain forests and the Hauraki Gulf, surround the city. Auckland has a mild maritime climate with temperatures fluctuating from 11 degrees in the winter and 20 degrees in the summer. Auckland does have one of the highest sunshine hours in New Zealand, with more than 2000 hours of sun per year. Auckland was recently rated as the third best place to live in the world.

The GP practice in question is located on the outskirts of Auckland and therefore offers both the tranquillity of the New Zealand landscape and the lively atmosphere of Auckland. The GP practice is fairly new and is therefore looking for staff to continue the expansion of the practice.

Function:

We are looking for a general practitioner for a part-time, permanent position.

You will be part of a skilled and motivated team in which your skills and experience will be indispensable. The work environment will be challenging and exciting. Furthermore, the workweek will be comprised out of 4 to 8 sessions per week (4 hours each). This can increase as the practice continues to develop. This also offers the opportunity to take an active role in managing the practice.

For this position you must possess excellent communicational, social, management and administrative skills. You must also be able to work effectively and efficiently in a team.
