Neurologist – Zurich – Switzerland

Zürich is the largest city of Switzerland and the capital of the Canton of Zürich. The city has around 390.000 inhabitants and is an important economic centre for the country. This also provides an excellent infrastructure with a well-organised international train station and an airport. Zürich is situated in the north of the country, close to the Alps and therefore has a clear sky, which offers great visibility of the mountains from the city.

The city hospital offers a great variety of specialised care and is among the top 10 Swiss hospitals. It has multiple locations, mostly located in a beautiful area of the city near a lake and mountains, which creates a great place to work for the 4.000 employees. Annually, care is provided to more than 35.000 inpatients and 220.000 outpatients.

On behalf of this hospital we are looking for a neurologist for a full-time (0.8-1.0 FTE) permanent position.

Together with the neurological team of this hospital, you will provide care to the Zurich patient population, both independently and in combination with registrars. Moreover, you will also be working in different locations (including outpatient clinics) within the region, which will result in conducting consultations and performing clinical and neurophysiological diagnostic work. You will also work in the Stroke Unit of the department.

In addition to your title as a specialist in neurology, you must have 2 focus areas within neurology; preferably one of these focus areas is neurosonology. Candidates with a sub-specialism within neuro-vascular or neuro-immunological pathology are preferred. A good knowledge of the German and English language or the willingness to learn this is required. B2-German level is required for registration in Switzerland, although control at C1 level is required in the clinic. MMedical can help you select the right language training and will guide you through the federal and cantonal registration in Switzerland.

Attractive employment conditions are offered with excellent social benefits.
