Pulmonologist – Zug – Switzerland

Location:

Zug is a beautiful city located in the middle of Zurich and Luzern. The old city centre looks over a scenic lake which also offers a great view at the Alps. The city, with approximately 30 000 inhabitants, is a popular location for large corporations. The high Zytturm overlooks the city and is a symbol for the rich history of the town. The tower gives excellent views of the Zugerberg mountain (1039 metres high). Due to its favourable location in between two big cities, the infrastructure is good while the city keeps its original scenic and historical centre.

The modern hospital consists of 4 clinics: surgery, orthopaedics, internal medicine and a women’s clinic. In addition, there are the departments of anaesthesia, intensive care, (diagnostic and interventional) radiology and a multidisciplinary emergency care department. Around 1000 employees are working in the hospital to take care of the annually 11 000 inpatients and 50 000 outpatients. Additionally, around 20 000 patients visit the emergency care department every year. The hospital has a central location, next to the train station and to the highway to Zurich (30 minutes) and Luzern (20 minutes).

Function:

On behalf of the above-mentioned hospital, we are looking for an experienced pulmonologist for a fulltime (0,8-1,0 fte) position. For a senior specialist, the hospital is looking for someone with several years of experience. Certification and experience in respiratory polygraphy and non-invasive ventilation is beneficial. You will be a fitted candidate if you are highly motivated for interdisciplinary cooperation with internal and external partners.

You will supervise the team of consultants of the Heart- and Lungcentre during the consultations. You will participate in the service of general internal medicine. The position also includes contribution to the advanced training program for doctors of internal medicine.

The department offers a lively, innovative and interdisciplinary environment within a modern hospital which includes high responsibility.

Attractive employment conditions are offered. Good command of the German and English language is required to register and practice in Switzerland. Although C1 command is preferred in your clinical role, a B2- German level suffices for registration.
