Radiologist – Hawke’s Bay – New Zealand
Hawke’s Bay is a region in New Zealand on the North Island. The capital of this region is Napier. The region is known for the sunny, warm climate and viticulture that takes place to a large extent. There are excellent schools and many opportunities to practice different sports. You can enjoy the beautiful climate and the most beautiful beaches here. This region produces world-class wines and has become increasingly more famous. A significant portion of the population consists of people of Maori descent (around 25%). After the violent earthquake of 1931, Art Deco buildings were built and to celebrate the city’s heritage, Napier organizes the Art Deco Weekend every year in February.
The hospital has a multidisciplinary approach and there are weekly meetings with all other specialties. This hospital also has 400 beds and a CT scanner, a SPECT / CT, 4 echo devices, a 1.5T MRI scanner, a modern catheterization lab, a fluoroscopy unit, 3 x-ray devices and a RIS / PACS system with speech recognition. In addition, this hospital has close ties with, among others, the University of Otago and Wellington Medical School.
We are looking for radiologists on behalf of this hospital in New Zealand. The position is preferably full-time and permanent, but part-time and fixed term is negotiable.
We are looking for radiologists who are broadly oriented and experienced in Interventional Radiology and / or Nuclear Medicine. You will strengthen a team of currently 8 radiologists.
In addition, you will contribute to the training of staff by giving education to interns, registrars and nursing staff. Weekend services are on call basis and night services are provided from the home environment.
For this position candidates need to possess excellent communicational, educational and administrative skills.
