Radiologist – King’s Lynn – United Kingdom

King’s Lynn has a population of about 43,000 inhabitants. This city was already one of the most important ports in England in the 12th century and this maritime past is still very present today. Fine old merchant houses extend to the river between cobbled alleyways and the elegant Custom House overlooks the harbour. The heritage of the city is reflected in an astonishing array of historic buildings and two beautiful market places: Saturday Market Place, where the St Margaret’s Church, designated by the Bishop of Norwich as a minster church in 2011, is surrounded by beautiful buildings and Tuesday market, perhaps one of the largest squares in England.

The hospital in question has 488 beds and offers secondary care to a population of approximately 220,000 people. The Radiology department conducts approximately 150,000 diagnostic tests each year. The department is supported by 2 registrars and interns from Norwich and Cambridge. The department has among others 2 MRI scanners, 2 64 slice CT scanners and 3 echo spaces to its disposal.

On behalf of the above-mentioned hospital, we are looking for two radiologists for a full-time, permanent position.

In addition to the regular tasks, you will contribute to the education of medical staff including registrars, interns and medical students. You will also contribute to the research in the department, for example by participating. The on-call schedule is 1: 8. You will strengthen a team consisting of 7 other specialists. The department has close ties with other departments, therefore multidisciplinary collaboration will often take place. Furthermore, the employer encourages the development of a sub specialism.

For this position you need to have excellent organizational, academic and management skills. You must also be in possession of a valid driving license. This position is also suitable for newly qualified radiologists.

The employer offers attractive employment conditions. The salary will be between £ 76,000 and £ 103,000 depending on your experience and qualifications.
